For travellers who choose the address first
This guide is for people planning a trip around a famous hotel: a Cotai suite week, a Strip spa stay, a lake weekend in Montreux or a beach stretch in Punta Cana. Every property here happens to have a casino somewhere on the premises; we mention it once, as a facility, and spend our words on what matters for the stay — rooms, setting, food, pools, spas and the neighbourhood outside the door.
The order follows our editorial judgement of how strongly each hotel reads as a landmark in its own city. It is not a price ranking and it is not influenced by commission. Read the methodology below or the longer version on The House.

Questions guests ask
When is the best time to stay at these resorts?
It depends on the place. Lake Geneva and the Estoril coast are liveliest from late spring to early autumn. Las Vegas is hot in high summer and pleasant in spring and autumn. Singapore, Macau, Manila and Sydney are warm or mild most of the year, with wetter months in the tropics. Punta Cana has a Caribbean hurricane season (roughly June to November). Sun City works year-round for pools, with wildlife drives best planned around local dry seasons. New England woodland weekends are popular in autumn colour and summer school holidays. Event weekends can push up prices anywhere, so check local calendars.
How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
Each card names the usual gateway airport. Most of these hotels can arrange a car on request, and taxis or rideshare are widely available. Montreux is an easy train ride from Geneva, Estoril sits on the Cascais rail line from Lisbon, Equarius is linked to mainland Singapore by cable car and road, and The Venetian Macao is a short ride from Macau International. Ask the hotel for current transfer options and prices before you land.
What is the minimum age to check in?
Rules vary by country and by hotel. Many US resorts require the person checking in to be 21 or older, while 18 is common elsewhere. Some properties also ask for a credit card in the guest’s own name. Please confirm the exact rule with the hotel before travel, especially if a younger adult will be checking in. Adult gaming floors, where present, follow local age law — typically 18+ and sometimes higher.
What are resort fees, and which of these hotels charge them?
A resort fee is a mandatory daily charge added on top of the room rate, common in Las Vegas and parts of the Caribbean. It may cover things like Wi-Fi or pool access. Amounts change, so we do not quote them; the hotel should show the total before you pay. City taxes apply in many European destinations as well.
Can I visit with children?
Several of these addresses are built for families — The Venetian Macao, Equarius Hotel, Hard Rock Punta Cana, Foxwoods and The Palace of the Lost City in particular — while others are better suited to adults. The comparison table marks each as family-friendly “Yes” or “Partly”. Ask the hotel about connecting rooms, cots and kids’ clubs, and note that some pools or lounges are adults-only.
How should I confirm a room?
Contact the property directly or use a booking channel you trust. Top Game League is an editorial register only: we do not sell rooms, carry affiliate booking links, or publish outbound hotel websites. Confirm cancellation terms, view categories and inclusions before you pay.
How the ten were chosen
We began with resort hotels that are widely known beyond their own country — buildings that appear on postcards, in films or on the skyline. From that long list we kept properties where the hotel experience stands on its own: a guest who never sets foot in the casino should still have a memorable stay. We then balanced the list across regions so that it is useful to travellers from different parts of the world.
Our information comes from each hotel’s public materials and other open sources such as tourism boards. We do not publish star scores, review counts or prices, because those change and we cannot verify them on your behalf. Where a detail varies by date or room type, we tell you to confirm it before travel.
